If you are using Internet Explorer, make sure that Allow Active Content to Run in Files on My Computer is selected before launching the Test Recorder. The setting is in the Advanced section of Tools > Internet Options.
To open the Test Recorder, perform the following steps:
Open General Interface Builder.
Choose File > New > GIPP Test Cases or File > New > GITAK Test Cases to open a new GIPP or GITAK test case. To open an existing test case, choose from the File menu.
A new component tab opens to display the Test Recorder test case table.
Click the Launch Recorder button to open the Test Recorder recording interface.
Before launching the Test Recorder, make sure that your browser opens pages in a new window instead of a new browser tab. This allows you to see what is occurring in General Interface Builder while you interact with the Test Recorder.
