Chapter 4 Assigning Hot Keys to GUI Components Allowed Keys for Hot Keys

Hot keys are keyboard shortcuts—combinations of keys that enable users to interact with an application without using a mouse. For example, a user might use a hot key to activate a menu command.
Assigning hot keys to button and menu components in your General Interface applications ensures that users who prefer or require keyboard accessibility can easily use your applications.

These General Interface components support hot keys:

  • jx3.gui.Button
  • jx3.gui.ImageButton
  • jx3.gui.ToolbarButton
  • jx3.gui.Menu
